Asphalt services
Asphalt driveways and paving that hold up to New Jersey winters
New driveways, resurfacing, sealcoating and repairs, built on a properly compacted base so they stay smooth for years.
Asphalt
What we do
A driveway is the first thing people see and the last thing most homeowners want to think about. We install asphalt the right way: excavate, grade for drainage, compact a proper stone base, then lay and roll hot-mix asphalt to the correct thickness. That is what keeps a driveway from cracking, rutting and sinking after a couple of freeze-thaw cycles.
If your existing driveway is still structurally sound, we will tell you. Sealcoating and crack filling can add years to a driveway for a fraction of the cost of replacement, and we would rather earn your trust with an honest recommendation than sell you a job you do not need.
What we offer
Asphalt services we offer
New asphalt driveways
Full excavation, graded stone base, and hot-mix asphalt laid and compacted to spec for residential driveways of any shape.
Resurfacing and overlays
A new wearing surface over a sound existing driveway when the base is still good. Less disruption, lower cost, like-new finish.
Sealcoating
Protects the surface from UV, water and oil, restores the deep black color, and slows the cracking that leads to potholes.
Crack filling and patching
Hot-applied crack sealant and cut-and-patch repairs for sunken spots, edge breaks and potholes before they spread.
Parking lots and private roads
Paving and maintenance for small commercial lots, HOA roads, and multi-family properties, scheduled around your tenants.
Drainage and grading
Water is what destroys asphalt. We correct pitch, add swales or drains where needed, and keep runoff away from your foundation.

The kind of work we do

Our process
How an asphalt job works
Free on-site estimate
We walk the driveway with you, check the base and drainage, and give you a written price with no pressure.
Excavation and base
Old asphalt is removed, the subgrade is graded for drainage, and a dense-graded stone base is placed and compacted.
Paving
Hot-mix asphalt is laid with a paver and rolled in stages to a smooth, uniform surface with clean edges.
Cure and care
We leave you with clear instructions on when to drive on it, when to seal it, and how to keep it looking new.

Good to know
Asphalt questions we hear most
- How soon can I drive on a new asphalt driveway?
- Stay off it for at least 24 to 72 hours depending on the weather. Asphalt continues to cure for several months, so avoid parking in the same spot every day, turning wheels while stationary, and placing heavy loads on it during the first summer.
- How long does an asphalt driveway last?
- A properly built driveway in New Jersey typically lasts 15 to 20 years. Sealcoating every 2 to 3 years and fixing cracks early can extend that considerably.
- What time of year is best for paving?
- Late spring through early fall. Hot-mix asphalt needs ground and air temperatures above roughly 50°F to compact properly, so we schedule most paving between April and November.
- Can you pave over my existing driveway?
- Sometimes. If the base is stable and the surface is not badly cracked, an overlay is a good option. If the driveway is sinking or alligator-cracked, the base has failed and a full replacement is the only lasting fix. We will tell you which one you need.
